This is the one and only ship that I have ever built.

This kit was released by DRAGON who make a variety of subject kits and to date I have never had a major problem with any of their kits.

This ship is in 1/350th scale and at that scale is still impressive in detail.

Having never used photo-etched parts before, I thought it would be a great opportunity to detail this ship with this technique..

Going through a FINESCALE MODELER magazine, I came across a company that manufactured the parts I needed for this ship. There was nothing difficult about using the brass parts apart from the fact that you can only use 'super-glue' to adhere the parts.

The model was constructed in sub assemblies as to make the painting of the ship a lot easier. Once the basic super structure was built and painted, all the towers were completed and then added to the hull.

The base is simply a plank of wood sanded, stained and varnished.
