SANDRUNNER

I scratchbuilt this vehicle in 1998. I had never built a vehicle before and wanted to construct something that was similar to those huge mining Hallmark dump trucks.

The wheels and axles came from a 1/25th scale monster truck. The body was 'boxed' from sheet styrene. The spare parts box was raided from the detail on the back of the vehicle. Brass wire was used for all the piping on the back. Make sure when you do this kind of work that all the piping actually leads somewhere.

The figure is a converted 1/35th scale military figure.

The whole vehicle was painted and then a coat of water-based wash applied followed by a light dry-brush.
