SKYHOPPER

This is my very first ever kit-bashed model.

Skyhopper was such a major build for me. It was constructed in about 1987. At the time I was working 3 nights a week as a DJ which gave me ample time to myself.

This creation took me about 6-8 hours a day for 6 weeks to complete. There were many times where I would build a section and find it looked like crap and I would then demolish it till I was happy.

The base kit is the Star Wars Speeder Bike that I heavily modified and detailed with just about every thing I could find.

The figure is the Speeder Bike trooper with the head from an old 'Thundercat' toy. The face was painted with oil paints and needed about 2 days to dry.
